Chili is great comfort food. Also? It's clearing out my sinuses. Whoa. *sniff*

Daughter is a lot better today, no fever. I have no fever but I hacked all night. My next paycheck is going to be pathetic. I'll have to see if I can work some extra time next week and make up for at least one of the days I missed.


Dusty goes to the vet at 4:30 for the 3rd and last round of puppy shots. It was supposed to be last Monday, but child was ooky and I rescheduled it for today. Wish I didn't have to go, but at this point I just want it over with. I'll update later with his current weight, lol.

Whee! Normal work day, then we have to finish puppy-proofing some things here at home. I also need to pick up a bag of the food he's been eating, so we can begin the process of switching him over to the brand we want to use.

The daughter and I are going up a little early and having a celebratory dinner out before we pick him up. The owner runs a music store and we can't get him till 8pm. I've already decided to take tomorrow off so that I can stay home and puppy sit and begin the crate training process. I'll make up the time next week, bit by bit. Fortunately it's really slow right now, all the big projects have moved on to the prep department. :)

Hubby is in Tampa till Saturday, working the company booth for the Florida Music Educators Association annual meeting. I used to love going to that when I was in college and really on fire for teaching. :)

Saturday is our friend's annual Twelfth Night dinner. Always a good time and excellent food.
